Cheers to Gallo!

Our fourth General Meeting kicked off with a fun Icebreaker where members sorted themselves by age without speaking, showcasing their problem-solving skills!

Next, our Communications duo, Mia Leduc and Taylor Benedict, led a seminar on Pop-up Shop Marketing, highlighting its effectiveness for businesses, especially in retail. They shared examples, tips for success, and guided members through a Gallo-themed pop-up activity. Thanks to our AMA-zing members for their creative input!

We were also thrilled to have Talent Acquisition Specialist, Madeline Sin, share her career journey and insights into Gallo’s history and opportunities. Aidan Yoder, our VP of Finance, also shared his experience as a Sales Representative Intern at Gallo last summer. A big thank you to both for their valuable contributions!

Industry Insight w/ VaynerMedia!

Our meeting with VaynerMedia began with a seminar led by our Communications team, which discussed Duolingo's most recent marketing stunt: faking the death of its renowned mascot, Duo the Owl. Afterward, members gathered for a fun icebreaker activity where they were tasked to uncover a secret sentence from words scattered across the room. Once the sentence is revealed, the members must answer the question posed by the sentence!

Following the activities, our AMA-zing guest speakers, Katie Nguyen and Lucy Ho, from VaynerMedia took the stage to guide members through the company’s practices as well as their own personal experiences in the industry. The duo led an informational Q&A, leaving our members inspired and equipped with valuable career knowledge!

Tuning in w/ The Recording Academy!

Another AMA-zing meeting! We kicked things off with a fun Icebreaker, guessing Grammy attendees by their outfits. Then, our Communications duo led a seminar on Guerrilla Marketing, where members brainstormed creative ways to promote Mugler's latest perfume launch.

Kicking off Spring w/ 7 Leaves!

We kicked off the Spring semester with an engaging seminar focused on Lunar New Year and how marketers can celebrate this traditional holiday authentically and respectfully in their campaigns and promotions.

Following the seminar, members participated in a fun Icebreaker activity called "Find Someone!" where they searched for individuals in the room who matched specific criteria displayed on their screens. It was a great way to encourage interaction and foster meaningful connections within our community!

We were also honored to have the AMA-zing Sandra Ninh, former AMA president and now Experiential Marketing Manager at 7 Leaves, as our guest speaker! Sandra shared valuable insights into her career journey and answered numerous questions from our members. Her presentation was incredibly engaging (and Maple Story-themed!) A big thank you to Sandra for joining us once again at CSUF AMA and inspiring our community!

Socializing Our Way Into Spring!

Our first social meeting of the semester was a huge success! Students came together to network, have fun and showcase their creativity in some exciting activities.

The Great Handshake Off got everyone talking! Participants had the chance to sharpen their elevator pitch skills while meeting new faces. It was a fun and interactive way to break the ice and start building connections within our amazing community.

We also hosted a Shark Tank-style competition featuring “Lazy Student Solutions.” Congratulations to the HoloBuddy team for scoring first place with their innovative hologram assistant idea! 

A big thank you to everyone who participated – we can’t wait to see what the rest of the semester holds!

An AMA-zing Last General Meeting!

A big thank you to guest speakers Jake Kochiss from IW Group and Newton Hoang from Kura Sushi for sharing valuable insights into the advertising and food industries! Our members appreciated their honest career stories and advice on focusing on personal journeys rather than comparisons. Members also had the chance to brainstorm the next collaboration with Kura Sushi!

Another huge thank you to our VP of Programming, Emily Tovar, and Communications Assistant, Taylor Benedict, for their informative presentation on Seasonal Marketing, a perfect start to the holiday season!

Afterward, members gathered at Chipotle for the final AMA fundraiser of the year. We thank our AMA-zing members for their continued support this semester, whether it be through fundraisers and events—their enthusiasm and excitement truly makes a difference!

Build your brand w/ AMA!

AMA kicked off the Build Your Brand workshop with a marketing seminar discussing the real-world use of strong branding strategies—particularly Duolingo’s! The seminar dove into the brand's recognition strategy and its unique ability to connect with Gen-Z consumers. Thank you to our members for contributing to an informative and entertaining discussion!

After the seminar, our AMA board members organized a four-station workshop that included interview tips, resume-building recommendations, LinkedIn advice, and professional headshots. Members could visit each station and explore ways to elevate their person brand! 

Introducing our AMA Families!

Our Big/Little Program kicked off for the very first time! Our Board Bigs and Member Littles gathered in the TSU Courtyard for an exciting reveal. Each Little was sporting a custom-made poster decorated with their Family Line titles! 

We are so excited to see how our AMA families thrive and grow!

Afterward, members enjoyed a delicious dinner at Raising Cane's to help support AMA's fundraiser!

A Spooky Social with AMA!

AMA members gathered together to celebrate the Halloween season through socializing, games, and fun!

The meeting started with a seminar discussing Chipotle's recent costume line campaign. Members learned more about the company's effective marketing strategy and contributed their own thoughts to the discussion!

Afterward, members were surprised with a Murder Mystery game followed by an exciting costume contest! 

After the meeting, AMA members gathered at 7 Leaves to support AMA and enjoy the last Big/Little Social before the official reveal set for 11/13!

Professional Development with Cintas!

The AMA-zing team at Cintas guided our members through the complexities of the interview process, refining their resumes, and perfecting their elevator pitches! Members also learned more about the company's reputable opportunities, including their Management Trainee Program.

We are so grateful to Cintas for hosting such an insightful and engaging event!

After the meeting, members gathered at Fourtea for one of the final Big/Little Socials before the Reveal.

Brainstorming with ThinkLA!

Our AMA members had a wonderful time learning more about navigating the marketing landscape with our guest speaker, Jasmin Mendoza, a Content Manager at ThinkLA!

Members were able to showcase their innovative ideas for a future ThinkLA event that demonstrates the company's values in community, philanthropy, and DEI! 

After the meeting, AMA Board Members introduced themselves as Bigs for the upcoming Big/Little Program! 

Kicking off the semester!

Our Kickoff General Meeting of the semester was a wonderful opportunity for our members to get to know students involved in the marketing industry as well as stimulate their creative minds in an AI-driven innovation activity!

And like always, an AMA meeting is not the same without a celebratory treat afterward. Members were seen gathering at 7 Leaves to support AMA during their fundraiser there!
